Reagan Elementary School
Welcome to John H. Reagan Elementary School, home of the Reagan Rangers! Our school was built in 1959, the 2006-2007 school year will be Reagan’s forty-eighth (48th) year of educating students in the Abilene Community. Reagan is proud to facilitate the education of approximately 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. This school has a wonderful reputation of parent and community support, providing a safe learning environment, and high levels of student achievement while addressing the needs of individual learners In addition to the core academic subjects: mathematics, language arts, social studies, science, students also receive daily instruction in health, art, performing arts (music) and P.E. Reagan also houses the Gifted and Talented program for the AISD. Based on the state mandated testing, Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, Reagan is a “Recognized” school. One of our goals is to continually grow in our knowledge and ability to provide our students with a high quality education, preparing each of them to be a valuable member of society in the 21st century.
