Dyess Elementary School

Welcome to Dyess Elementary! Our school is the one of the largest elementariesds in the AISD and was built in 1957 outside the south gate of Dyess Air Force Base. Each year, approximately 99% of our students are children of military personnel and come to us from diverse backgrounds from all across our nation. The faculty and staff are committed to using innovative and creative teaching techniques enabling all students to learn. The Exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency for the last eight years is evidence of this commitment. We are proud to serve our military families as we strive to work together for student success!

Dyess has been named to the Texas Business and Education Coalition Honor Roll for 2007. This honor goes to less than 5% of Texas public schools for demonstrating three years of consistent, high performance in all subjects compared to other schools serving similar student populations.
