Robert Bassetti Elementary School was named for a longtime Abilene educator and was opened in 1992. Mr. Bassetti believed that a strong educational foundation was vital to success. The teachers at Bassetti embrace this idea and encourage all of our students to strive for their personal best. The Bassetti team has reached the status of Exemplary since 1996. Parents and community volunteers support our students and teachers in helping us reach our individual and campus goals.

Bassetti has been named to the Texas Business and Education Coalition Honor Roll for 2007. This honor goes to less than 5% of Texas public schools for demonstrating three years of consistent, high performance in all subjects compared to other schools serving similar student populations.
